Comprehensive Prenatal Care

Our prenatal care centers around providing the best possible medical care combining eastern and western philosophies.

We believe strongly in nurturing the mother in the postpartum period to help ease the transition during the fourth trimester.

The Prenatal PERIOD

Wellness during the prenatal period is vital to normal labor and delivery and we provide support and counseling according your needs.

Free phone and in-person consultation

  • 90 minute initial prenatal visit 

1 hour long prenatal visits

  • Monthly up to 28 weeks (or more as needed)

  • Every 2 weeks from 28 to 36 weeks (or more as needed)

  • 36-week home visit

  • Weekly visits beginning at 36 weeks until birth (or more as needed)

Comprehensive, holistic midwifery care

  • Prenatal lab work drawn in office, including genetic screen, OB panel, GBS testing, and glucose screening

  • Referral for ultrasound

  • Monitoring maternal physical and emotional well being

  • Nutritional counseling and suggestions for supplementation

Labor functions best with limited interventions and interruption to the natural process. Our role as midwives is to follow your lead and to facilitate this process with guidance, assurance and support while responding to each mom’s individual needs. We believe that mothers deliver their babies and our role is to assist you in this powerful process.

LABOR & Birth

Includes

  • On-call 24/7 for your birth between 37 and 42 weeks - morning noon, or night

  • Labor team of 2 midwives

  • Birth tub provided by midwife

  • Continuous phone support during early labor

  • Intermittent fetal monitoring during labor

  • In home support during active labor and for several hours postpartum

  • Comfort suggestions and therapeutic touch when needed

  • Newborn assessment and newborn exam

Postpartum CARE

Postpartum care is a critical part of our midwifery services. We believe strongly in nurturing the mother in the postpartum period to help ease the transition during the fourth trimester

Includes

  • Home visit at 24-48 hours

  • Office visits at 1 week, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks (more visits can be scheduled as needed)

  • 24/7 support by phone

  • Newborn Metabolic Screen (at 1st postpartum home visit)

  • Breastfeeding guidance, support, and resources

  • Pediatrician referrals

  • Newborn weight checks

  • Postpartum depression screening and prevention tools

  • Well woman exam and Pap Smear if needed at final postpartum visit

IUI / ICI

We are pleased to be able to offer you Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and Intracervical Insemination (ICI) in the privacy of your home!

We have taken this out of the clinical setting—you choose the music, dim the lights, relax to a uterine massage, and we take care of the rest. As medically board licensed midwives, we are trained to perform both ICI and IUI. Call today for a free phone consultation and evaluation!
